Haven’t gotten any email today? At 9am PST, the long retired ORDB spam identification system began returning false positives as a way to get sleeping mail admins to remove the ORDB query from their spam filters. The result: all mail is blocked on servers still configured to use the ORDB service.
I came across a problem today with Mozilla Thunderbird (though not necessarily isolated to this client) and the POP mail server. It came about because a user has been out of the office and not pop’ing his mail to the desktop. The server had accumulated 100MB of email over this time.
